The Southington Education Foundation is offering grants to teachers in the
Southington Public Schools. The grants will allow
teachers to identify and address needs, challenges, and concerns unique to their
students. The identified project/program should be reflective of both the
schools' mission statement and the mission statement of the SEF as well as
coordinated with existing curricula. The SEF will only fund projects outside of the scope of the Southington Board
of Education.

What kinds of grants have been awarded to date?
Since 2009, more than 50 teachers have benefitted from grants with each school in our district receiving at least two grants. With our current grant cycle to be awarded February, 2012, we are approaching the $50,000 mark in grant funding.Information regarding grants that have been awarded by the SEF can be viewed here.
